Time spirals the wayward cloud
Relative, irrelevant, and musing aloud
Following the wind, the weather, the now
As a distant tree is shaking its bough

Irregular patterns shadow my face
Passing under the ambient base
Broken away from temporal space
It’s jagged, shredded and fractious embrace

I’ll remain stream or become crystalline
Wandering water can go where it means
Break apart mountains or fade into the sea
Drift as the mist over infinity

I must go my own way
Obeying the chemicals in my brain
I’ll break away and back into the fray
Cycles repeating and constantly change
